I’m going to be done at Disney next month, soI figured I should put together a new demo reel and get it out there. A demo reel is the visual effects/animation equivalent of an artist’s portfolio, and these are all shots I did lighting and some compositing for. Since I had a bunch of new stuff from Tangled I scrapped my old reel and started over. Let me know what you think. PS if you haven’t seen Tangled, there might be some spoilery bits.

Resolutions

Happy new year everyone! Last year went by amazingly fast, and I’m sure this year will continue the trend. (Case in point: It’s already the 4th and I’m barely getting around to doing this.) I have to be up front and say I don’t really like making lists of things to get done. I usually have a decent memory and am able to remember what things need to be done, and what the deadlines are. But as my wife might attest, I fail at remembering once in a while. But while I don’t like making lists of everyday things to accomplish, I do think it’s a good idea to write down goals. There’s a famous quote that goes along with this line of thought: “Goals that are not written down are just wishes”. I think there’s a number of reasons why this is true, not the least of which is the fact that if you don’t have a hard copy of your goals, whether you share them with others or not, it’s easier to procrastinate and push the goal further down the path. If it’s written down, it can and should be a consistent reminder of whatever it is you want to accomplish. So I’m going to list my resolutions here. (My professional ones anyway. Nobody here needs to know about my personal ones
